This composition sets the English text of the well-known Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, “Make me an instrument of Your peace.”
Written in memory of Wonjun Yoon, who was tragically killed in a racially motivated shooting in 1999, the work stands as a heartfelt plea for reconciliation and peace.
It was composed with the prayerful hope that no more lives would be lost to hatred.
